Nowadays, international travel is one of the most common activities for modern people. Everyone can go abroad easily with just luggage and the ticket. However, have you ever thought about pros and cons for international travel?
Is it really so easy to travel that everyone can afford it? Is there any potential risk about it? And maybe the expense that you spend for traveling can make those countries’ economy growth?
First of all, let’s talk about flight ticket and accommodation. If you have a travel plan in mind 1 year prior to setting off, you are a lucky early bird to find the cheapest tickets and hotels. But if you are a poor office staff, and always busy keeping up with your job, you can only arrange holiday for the coming next month. While you are checking availabilities of airlines and hotels, you’ll become stressed out, because you have to pay high a price to get a nice package.
In addition, if you are travel alone, you definitely need to be very careful about security issue, especially if you go to some undeveloped countries. For instance, make sure you know the rules of taking cab, because they are calculated by meters, by one-time charge or by your gender. Sometimes it really takes time to bargain for a reasonable price, and if you annoy them with lower price, they may not take you to the correct destination, and you’re going to be in dangerous situation.
As to travel costs sometimes, it means that your money can benefit some of countries. To start from buying flight tickets, making reservation of hotels, paying for VISA, having meal and choosing souvenir, you travel is connected with a serial consumptions. Stores take cash, tips or commission, government charges tax, money is coming with tourist. That’s why some of countries consider tourism as one of their major revenues.
There are still lots of benefits for international travel, such as to experience different cultures which can broaden your perspective, and make you to be more independent. Therefore, we can say the good and bad things always exist together. It depends on, if you are ready enough or if it is worth it for you to pay that price to get one special experience in your life.
